| The Big Night Out Concert Series was conceived as an outlet for some of the extraordinary Gold Coast bands and musicians. What is unique about the Big Night Out is that the bands will receive a high-quality multitrack audio recording and a three camera broadcast-quality video of their performance, something which is often beyond the budget of our worthy but financially disadvantaged local bands. Peter Tames, well known Gold Coast born and bred musician (or PT as he is known), will be overseeing the FOH sound, helped by foldback engineer Michael Gill and Craig Rickard on multitrack recording, whilst Able Video & Multimedia’s production team, Peter Murtagh, Aaron Lehane, Alexander Doctor, Peter Baker and Drew Limbert will be video recording the night. Hopefully the end result will help the great local talent showcased at The Big Night Out Concert Series on to bigger and better things, and at least create a record of the Gold Coast's rich musical tapestry.
Coming Events The Mason Rack Band (www.masonrack.com) and Future Native (www.futurenative.com) will be performing at the Big Night Out Concert at the Albert Waterways Community Centre, Broadbeach, on Easter Saturday, the 15th of April. Mason has recently secured a recording contract and been invited back to the Bluesfest in Byron. Future Native have recently release their second album, The Politics of Love. Stay tuned for the other great talent joining The Mason Rack Band and Future Native at the Easter Saturday Big Night Out. |
